Zuri

Hi my name is Zuri and I am a self taught artist born and raised in the 859. I’ve always been artistically inclined, probably because I grew up in a very diverse community surrounded by artists from all walks of life. I love exploring different mediums and I’m a big fan of repurposing and reusing materials to produce my works. I create in order to connect with my inner child, try to make sense of the world around me and just have fun. My biggest inspirations are nature and the women that I am in community with. I’m very grateful to be a part of this show and have the opportunity to display my work alongside my sisters.
